Seminar: Fundamentals of Mediation
Nam veritatis et nos.Objective of the seminar-training:
The goal of the seminar-training is to equip participants with the fundamentals of mediation for use in both professional and everyday life. It aims to convey the essence of mediation, its principles, the procedure of the mediation process, and the tools a mediator uses to conduct successful negotiations and resolve conflicts constructively.
During the training, participants will study the theoretical foundations of the mediation institution, the nature of conflicts and ways to prevent them, as well as analyze real-life business cases related to conflict management through negotiation.
Seminar format and training methods:
• Theoretical knowledge accompanied by active discussion and open debate
• Analysis and discussion of practical examples
• Business games in small and large groups to develop and reinforce skills on the seminar topic
• Use of presentations, audio and video materials, and handouts during the training process
• Brainstorming sessions, feedback with evaluation and review
Duration:
The seminar-training lasts for 8 academic hours (1 full day).
Sessions are held daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with coffee and lunch breaks.
Languages of instruction:
The training is conducted in both the official (Kazakh) and Russian languages.

The seminar is led by Zhakyupov Zhandilda Azhigaliyevich – an internationally certified mediator, Head of the Mediation Center of the NGO "International Human Rights Center", and CEO of the "Association of Mediators of Kazakhstan".
